    The intention of this work is to explore how individuals can be both a reflection of someone else’s identity and fully present in their own, often at the same time. The entities the dancers represent weave in and out of this duality, utilizing moments of harmony and conflict.

  • From the Periphery

    Dancers: Patsy Collins, Thalia Nunez, Emilio Zurita Ontiveros, Ahauve Orusa, Fred Thomson, & Nate Snyder

    The work is an embodied movement exploration of how communities generate empathy. The work uses the research of MIT Lecturer Dr. Otto Scharmer and "Theory U", through which he reflects on how we can build stronger communities. He investigates how we can shift from an "ego-system to eco-system awareness", which my dancers and I researched through movement and improvisational scores.
