  • Patsy Collins is an Atlanta-based choreographer, originally from Chicago. She began her training in traditional Irish Dance, and went on to study dance and business at Emory University where she received the Alan Rackoff Prize for her movement research. She is an alumna of Sarah Hillmer’s ImmerseATL Artist Program, and has had the pleasure of presenting work with several Atlanta-based organizations including Dance Canvas, MAD Festival, and the Fall for Fall Dance Festival.

Recently, she has presented work at the National Center for Civil and Human Rights, the Dance/USA National Conference and this past spring completed the Meli Kaye Residency with the Decatur School of Ballet.

Patsy is also the Marketing Coordinator for DanceATL, Marketing & Communications Coordinator for staibdance and Communications Coordinator for the Emory Dance Program, and was recently invited to participate in an Arts Leadership Program led Emory University's Goizueta Business School. As a dance artist, she performs with staibdance and Komansé Dance Theater.

  • Creating is one of my favorite states of being to exist within - it reminds me of life’s fullness and humans’ capacity for emotion. It’s where I feel closest to things both miles outside of my body and things so internal they’re beyond material definition.

subzero marks the end of one process and the beginning of a journey forward committed to creation and community, using this beloved art form as a vehicle. Thank you for bearing witness to and holding space for this step in my journey.

  • I’m always looking for ways to connect and collaborate! Artistic collabs, commissions, master classes… let’s chat. Contact me via the form here and follow me on Instagram at @patsy_collins.
